About

about1Candle Lake Storage offers a variety of storage options to meet the needs of people in our community. Our mission is to provide our clients with friendly, professional customer service and a quality product at at the best rates. We are conveniently located in the Industrial Park at Candle Lake, Saskatchewan.

Owners, Ted and Susan Rieseberg, moved to Candle Lake from Strathmore, AB in 2010 and are thoroughly enjoying all that the area has to offer. Candle Lake is truly one of the most spectacular lakes in Western Canada, offering 4 season enjoyment with fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, snowmobiling, birdwatching and much much more. Operating the storage business has provided us with a side benefit we never factored in when purchasing the business – the opportunity to meet and get to know many of the wonderful people in the community. Candle Lake is – without a doubt – one of the best places to live in Canada.

about2Storage is a fact of life in our global society as we downsize and try to do with all of our “stuff” and our parents “stuff” and our kids “stuff.”

We are conveniently located for residents of northern lakes like Whiteswan, Piprell, East Trout, Little Bear and Whelan and the neighbouring communities of Meath Park, Paddockwood, Weirdale, Smeaton, Albertville, Emma Lake, Christopher Lake, Waskeseiu and Montreal Lake. Cabin owners from points across Canada and the US gather winter and summer to enjoy the beauty and serenity of our wonderful location and utilize the storage facility to park their sleds and boats in the off-seasons when they are not around to monitor their things. The bulk of our summer visitors come from Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Fort MacMurray, Nipawin, Melfort, Thompson, Flin Flon, and Moose Jaw. One of the most interesting aspects of the storage business is meeting people from all points of the map. Every community has its own footprint and a resort village is unique in many ways. Some families have lived here permanently for generations, while others have owned summer cabins and are now building permanent homes. Candle Lake has been a senior’s haven for decades and that population is “booming” as people like us return “home.” Candle Lake is also a popular destination for young families hoping to escape the hustle and bustle of bigger center points in Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Many of our clients are repeat customers who require temporary storage as they build their new retirement homes and later seasonal storage for ice shacks, boats and sleds. Others bring their campers and RVs for winter storage and part-time summer storage when they return home for the summers from Alberta, Manitoba, BC, and even Dubai. Others have sold their homes and put their things in Storage while they venture out to see the world. Others seek temporary storage for their possessions as they downsize to move to retirement facilities in larger centres. Others require extra space to accommodate the possessions of their adult children who have not fully committed to leaving home yet or perhaps a parent who is moving in with them.
